The XAMR® is a low-carbon energy source that will be used to replace fossil fuels in local electricity networks, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Our reactors also contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable economy, thanks to their ability to provide constant, reliable energy to back up intermittent renewable energies such as wind and solar power.
A DISRUPTIVE OFFERING
NAAREA’s business model is that of an energy provider with a performance contract. NAAREA will retain ownership of its microreactors under all circumstances to ensure their security, safety, maintenance and flawless operation.
FROM MANUFACTURING TO MAINTENANCE
NAAREA’s activities cover manufacturing, transport and on-site delivery, installation, connection, training, security, insurance, operations and maintenance, emergency services including shutting down or deactivating microreactors, and end-of-life management. The energy produced by NAAREA microreactors is either consumed by local users or fed back into the power distribution grid.
COSTS COVERED BY NAAREA
NAAREA will cover all fixed and variable manufacturing, maintenance, operating and fuel costs. Customers will be billed only for the use of the electricity produced. Rates will vary depending on the end user and the strategic and environmental impact of their activity.
RAPIDLY DEPLOYABLE AND COST-EFFECTIVE
The XAMR® is designed to be modular, allowing it to be installed in locations of varying configurations to best meet local energy needs. Small and factory-built, XAMR® units can be assembled on site, making them easy to install. The XAMR® will be manufactured in series, which reduces construction and manufacturing costs per unit, as well as construction time, thanks to standardization. The XAMR® is inherently safe, which results in lower safety costs.
